Can you believe it's FINALLY here?   BOO-yah DAY!  
Without further ado, here is the schedule for the fun and festivities planned for tomorrow!

BOO-yah! Schedule
8:20 a.m. - Introduce Portsmouth Mayor Kenny Wright (he will kick off the Fun Run)
8:30 a.m.  - Fun Run
9:00 a.m. – 5k Run Begins
10:00 a.m. –Costume Contest / awards 
10:15 a.m. – Runner Medals
11:00 a.m. – Raffle prizes announced (must be present to win!)  

Don't forget to bring your non-perishable food items for donation!  You receive a raffle ticket for every item that you bring.  Check out the Raffle Prizes pages to see what you can win!

Our race was in The Currents yesterday.  Did you see it?  If not, lucky you, there  is a youtube interview you can watch instead!  Watching is so much fun , plus you get to see the illusive Matt Hartman in action.  He usually tries to stay behind the scenes, pulling the strings that make things happen ... much like the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz.  :)
However, the Currents article put him front and center, standing in front of the infamous Maryland Mansion ... giving you a sneak peek of their over the top decorations for Halloween 2013!

I don't know about you, but I have always liked to know exactly what the prizes are before a competition.  Knowing what I could win inspires me greatly!  So, I thought, maybe we should list the medals that you could win next Saturday at the BOO-yah 5k and Little Monsters Fun Run!  Great idea, right?  Okay, then, here we go!

So there you have it!  A veritable plethora of medals to reward your mettle at the BOO-yah next Saturday, October 19th!  If you haven't signed up yet, take a moment to do so!  You will be so glad you did!  This race is great fun, the raffle prizes are awesome, it benefits the Foodbank, and the shirts and medals are really spectacular!   

Did you know that we are only EIGHT days from the BOOyah 5k and Little Monsters Fun Run?  We are getting lots of inquiries about dogs and what he/she should wear.  While we can't tell you that, for obvious reasons, we can share that some hilarious ideas have been floated past us!  For instance, here is a picture of Angus getting ready for race day.  I think he believes that having a rider gives him an edge.  What do you think?
