Join us for the 4th annual BOO-yah! 5K and Little Monsters Fun Run October 24, 2015! Port Norfolk is known for having amazing Halloween decorations and friendly residents…well, except for those pesky zombies that keep popping out along the race route! This race is a blast and a great incentive to whittle your middle before the holidays! Oh, and did we mention the post-race party featuring great raffle prizes and costume contests for adults, kiddos and pooches?
This race benefits the Port Norfolk Civic League and The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia. Those who brave our uniquely challenging race will zoom past some crazy, spooky and amazing houses, including the infamous MARYLAND MANSION which draws hundreds of thrill seekers each year with its incredible Halloween displays. Prepare to be wowed!
While Halloween can be spooky, hunger is REALLY scary, and that’s why we are asking all racers to bring non-perishable food items for the Foodbank. Each donated item will qualify you for entrance into a special raffle drawing, and we will have some really spooktacular items that you will definitely want, so bring those food donations! Do a good deed for a very worthy cause, and maybe win a great prize! Who could ask for more?
So bring us your ghosts, ghouls and vamps, your monsters, your favorite cartoon characters … if your Halloween finery is selected as best costume, you will be immortalized in our photo gallery, and have guaranteed bragging rights for an entire YEAR! And don't forget Fido! This year, we added a doggie costume contest! The gauntlet has been thrown down, let's see who picks it up and RUNS with it!
